Monday, August 16th, 2021 - On a pleasant summer evening, a healthy sized crowd of eager fans planted themselves into their bag chairs to catch C.K. and The Gray. Due to Covid, this was the first full band performance since 2019, so it was great to be back. Performing in Lockport is always a highlight particularly for Neal and Chrissy. Chrissy was raised in Lockport and strong family roots in the area while Neal lives in neighboring Homer Glen and his children attend District 92 schools.
Sunday, August 15th, 2021 - The Acoustic Trio headed North to pay a visit to our friends at Lake Shore Harley Davidson in Libertyville. The sun was a little intense, but fortunately the humidity was a little lower making the overall performance pretty comfortable. The paint of Neal’s black Taylor guitar was even bleeding off onto his hand because of the direct exposure and heat. No worries though, Taylors are built to be workhorses.
Saturday, August 7th, 2021 - Yee Haw! It was a hot a humid day this past Saturday afternoon and the band had worked through roughly 3/4's of a heavily country inspired set before CK front woman Chrissy Karl asked the crowd, "Mind if we play a pop song?" The crowd erupted in approval, and as the band kicked into setlist staple Shut Up and Dance, the line dancers in crowd continued to...umm...Dance The Line. Am I saying that right? Maybe its dancing in line? Well, folks kept dancing. That was the important part.
Sunday, August 1st, 2021 - We were honored to have headlined the 4th Annual Joint Forces Charity Concert at Joe’s Live in Rosemont this past Sunday. This was our 4th time participating. The proceeds went to the Illinois chapter of Tribute To The Troops and the Chicago Blackhawks Warriors. Our mission was to raise funds for disabled veterans and gold star families. Because of our involvement, we are proud to created some lifelong friendships with those involved in these fantastic organizations. Be sure to check out Triadd, the special guest who came out and rocked the place. Special thanks to Bob, Rich, Kathy and Dan for putting on another fantastic event.
Saturday, July 29th, 2021 - The band made their annual trip out to central Illinois to the Psycho Silo Saloon, a fantastic outdoor patio venue that everyone from bikers to blue hair grandmas are in attendance. With a muggy and humid day, The Silo was well equipped with industrial strength air movers to keep folks cool. The venue, tucked away in little known Langley Illinois, its actually closer to the Iowa border and draws folks from as far away as Davenport, Peoria, Rockford and Chicago. …and naturally, getting there and back is half the fun.
Saturday, July 24th, 2021 - The Acoustic Trio and many wine and beer enthusiasts shrugged off sweltering heat with high humidity for a fantastic afternoon of acoustic rock in Baroda Michigan for Round Barn’s Jammin’ in the Vineyard. Even with temps flirting in the low 90’s, the Round Barn Estate remains a highlight for the band. We’ll be back again on August 28th and September 25th!
Tuesday, July 20th, 2021 - We were rained out last year, so the full band finally had an opportunity to perform in New Lenox! Special thanks the Jodi and Pat for all the video they captured!
Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 - A little rain had us initially setting up inside, but we as we were sound checking it really was quite beautiful after the rain cleared. With some old fashioned determination and a solid extra ten minutes, we were able to do a last minute switchero onto the patio deck!
Sunday, July 11th, 2021 - It was fantastic to have the full band back together!
Saturday, June 19th, 2021 - It was an absolute blast to perform back at Franklin’s Public House. The band performed fairly regularly before the pandemic, and it was great to reconnect with old friends.
Saturday, April 10th, 2021 - It was a great time performing for motorcycle enthusiasts at the Lake Shore Harley Davidson in Libertyville!
Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 - The acoustic trio of Chrissy Carter and Neal had such a blast in December, they just had to do another one! A number of new requests and selections were performed for the first time including Blinding Lights, Shake it Off, Jackson, Starting Over and It’s all Going To Pot.
Saturday, December 19th, 2020 - Our first venture into live streaming was a little weird, but lots of fun. Thank you for all who tuned in. We have another live stream planned for late January.
Saturday October 3rd, 2020 - C.K. and The Gray wraps their final public performance of 2020 at the historic Round Barn Estate in Baroda Michigan. The venue requested a more “chill” acoustic vibe which is a departure from years past. Still a great venue and great show. We look forward to returning to Round Barn in 2021!
Sunday, September 27th, 2020 - The City of Lockport hooked us up to a hay wagon and we played small sets to various parts of the community. It was a unique opportunity and and a fun show to be a part of.
Saturday, September 12th, 2020 - Although Neal has performed at DJ’s in the past, the official debut of CK and The Gray’s acoustic act was fantastic! New tuneskis Sucker, Amazed and Roar went over quite well. We will be back next Saturday evening!
Saturday, August 29th, 2020 - The band made their annual trip out to central illinois to Psycho Silo Saloon, a fantastic outdoor patio venue that everyone from bikers to blue hair grandmas are in attendance.
Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 – In what would normally be a loud full band return to the Round Barn Estate in Baroda Michigan, the venue requested we strip the show down to acoustics for a more intimate performance. For safety reasons, Round Barn was limiting the number of guests on the grounds. Naturally everyone was a little more reserved. On the plus side, it was a fantastic afternoon, and the venue was celebrating 28 years in business. We’ll be back to do it all over again in early October.
Thursday, August 20th, 2020 - Our return to Orland Park was a bit different than year’s past with lots of social distancing at Crescent Park. It was a fantastic evening with lots of eager music fans in attendance.
